Faith VanderHorst is our current School Board President. Her term expires April 2022.
She is married with two sons, both are Menomonee Falls graduates. She and her family moved to Menomonee Falls from Cincinnati in 2002.
Faith is a graduate of Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) with a BS in Accounting. She is a non practicing CPA. She worked in public accounting, served as CFO for a large privately owned company and was in financial sales for GE Medical. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for Studer Education, a leadership development company based in Pensacola, Florida. Faith also serves as the Co-Chair for the SWSA (Southeastern Wisconsin School Alliance) Executive Committee.
Faith has served on the Board since 2007. She has served on the Finance, and Communications Committees, and currently serves on the Personnel Committee, the Policy Committee and chairs the Curriculum & Learning Committee.
Faith decided to run for the Board after participating in a Finance Study group. She felt it was a natural progression from her role as PTA President. She joined to serve the students and community. Faith is a member of the Optimist Club and The Menomonee Falls Scholarship and Education Foundation.
Faith loves hearing the success stories of the students in the district. She likes attending events and honoring not only the student success but dedication and support of the staff. She believes our students are filled with Falls Pride, setting and achieving their goals!! She is proud of the culture; it is one that provides opportunities, including music, art, sports, clubs, media, business, job shadows, robotics and academics.
Michele Divelbiss is our current School Board Secretary. Her term expires April 2022.
Michele has been married to Bryant Divelbiss since 1993. She graduated from Ball State University in 1996 with a degree in special education, but opted not to teach full time. She did sub for the SDMF prior to being elected to the Board in 2013.
Bryant and Michele have three children, Jared and Clayton - fraternal twins and graduates of the Class of 2020, and daughter Hannah is part of the Class of 2023. The Divelbiss family moved to Menomonee Falls in August of 2007, just in time for the twins to start Kindergarten.
She works at Hobby Lobby as the manager of the frame shop.
Keri L. (Smith) Duce is the current Vice President of the School Board. Her term expires in April 2024.
Keri is the mother of two children in the district, having herself graduated from Menomonee Falls High School in 2000. Her father, Stan, and brother, Kyle, are also Menomonee Falls graduates.
Keri is the Director of External and Government Relations for the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, where she oversees a variety of partnerships and outreach programs. She has been at UWM since 2005 and earned a master’s degree in Education from the school in 2007. Her focus was higher education administration and students at-risk. Keri earned her undergraduate degree in history and legal studies from UW-Whitewater in 2003.
Thanks to her involvement in the PTO and extensive volunteering in the schools, Keri knows firsthand how fantastic our teachers and staff are. Being a member of the school board gives her a chance to get even more engaged across the district while ensuring Menomonee Falls continues to have great schools and a great community.
Keri has been president of the Holy Cross Preschool Board and serves as a lector at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She enjoys coaching youth sports and attending numerous community events. She also teaches yoga.
Keri’s son, Wyatt, attends North Middle School, while daughter Vera attends Riverside Elementary. Her husband, Ryan, works as a Controls Engineer.
Cathy Olig is currently the Treasurer of the School Board. Her term expires in April 2022.
Cathy is the mother of two children in the district and has been a Falls resident since 2007. She is originally from Menasha, Wisconsin, where she attended public school K - 12.
Cathy has worked in marketing her entire career, working at businesses of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses. Today she runs her own business, Appeal Marketing LLC, founded in April 2017. Cathy earned her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from UW-Madison in 2003, majoring in Marketing and German and a Certificate in International Business.
From serving as an advisor to the Design, Communications, and Media and Business academies to leading the Ben Franklin PTO as co-president and volunteering in the classroom, Cathy knows firsthand how incredible our schools, students, and volunteers are. Being a member of the school board gives her a chance to be even more engaged across the district to help ensure Menomonee Falls continues to be a desirable place to call home, anchored by its strong public schools.
Cathy is a member of the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce and a Leadership Menomonee Falls graduate. She supports communication efforts for Collective Impact Menomonee Falls including the early literacy committee's brain bags project. As a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Cathy volunteers with Christian Formation and event planning. She enjoys volunteering for youth sports and attending numerous community events.
Cathy's daughter attends North Middle School and her son attends Riverside Elementary School. Her husband, Adam, works as an Analysis Engineer.

Finance Committee Chair
Melinda and her husband, James, moved to Menomonee Falls in 2015 from Auburn, Alabama. They have four daughters. Katie and Emily attend Riverside Elementary and Maggie and Charlotte currently attend Ben Franklin. Her term expires in April 2023.
Melinda previously worked in the banking industry. She began her career in the front lines as a teller supervisor before moving into the Marketing department as a data analyst. Melinda holds a Bachelor of Science from Saint Joseph’s College (Rensselaer, Indiana) where she majored in Marketing with a minor in Psychology.
After serving most recently as the Ben Franklin PTO President, Melinda wanted to continue service to our community and considered the school board as the next step. She has previously volunteered in the classroom, served as a room parent, and taught Art Folks.
In her free time, Melinda enjoys reading, golfing, and trips to Florida.
Eric is a resident of Menomonee Falls for over 35 years and is a graduate of the Menomonee Falls High School. Eric has a bachelors degree from UW Milwaukee with a major in English. His term expires in April 2023.
Eric and his wife own a small business in Menomonee Falls. He enjoys coaching baseball and has coached for the Menomonee Falls Little League and the Menomonee Falls Jr. Indians baseball program.
Each year, student school board members apply and are appointed to positions on the school board. These are not voting positions as these students are not electors of Menomonee Falls.
As a responsibility, these students provide insights and updates about the district and gain valuable experience into how government functions at a local level.

Sara Booher is a senior at Menomonee Falls High School and is currently serving in her second term as a Student School Board Member. She is a member of Future Business Leaders of America and is serving as the Wisconsin State Parliamentarian, president of Model United Nations, and a member of the Varsity tennis and basketball teams. She plans to attend college next year to major in Political Science.
Sahil Shah is a junior at Menomonee Falls High School. Some of his favorite subjects in school are social studies and business classes. His favorite class he's taken in high school is either AP Human Geography or Contemporary Issues. Outside of school Sahil likes to hang out with friends and family. He is also a also a huge sports fan. He plays tennis and soccer, but watches every sport. As of right now Sahil wants to be a future lawyer.
