Board Members

Dr. Nina Christensen serves as the President of the school board. Her term expires in April 2025.

Dr. Christensen and her family have lived in Menomonee Falls since 2009. Her two daughters, Isabella and Olivia, currently attend Menomonee Falls High School.

Dr. Christensen was raised in California and graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a double major in Biology and Psychology. She entered professional school in Chicago, where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry. Dr. Christensen's career path has led her to work at several Veterans Hospitals and medical facilities and own her practice.

A couple years ago, Dr. Christensen decided to slow down in her career to spend time with family and redirect her focus on volunteerism. Dr. Christensen continues to provide patient care part-time and devotes a considerable amount of her time to volunteering for Wisconsin Adopt a Golden Retriever (WAAGR), Dog2Dogtags, and TeamLiftInc.

Dr. Christensen has dedicated her life to being of service to others professionally and personally. She is committed to bringing that same commitment, compassion, and dedication to serving our community as a school board member.

Chris Stueland is currently Vice President of the school board. Her term expires in April 2025.

Chris is public school educated and attended K-12th grade in Waterford, WI public schools. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of WI and her Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology at University of WI- Milwaukee. She has been working in the medical setting as a Speech Language Pathologist for 26 years.

Chris, her husband and three school age daughters have been residents of Menomonee Falls for approximately 16 years. Both she and her husband are from the midwest but moved to Arizona after the birth of their first daughter. After living in Arizona for two years, they quickly realized that they wanted to return to Wisconsin and its midwestern values. They chose Menomonee Falls because Chris’ mom’s family had roots here. She grew up listening to her mom’s fond stories about growing up in the Falls. They knew of the close knit community that Menomonee Falls held and wanted to embrace this village and all of its charms. Chris enjoys a sense of community wherever she goes and getting to know people of different backgrounds. She was a Girl Scout leader for 10 years and actively volunteers at schools in various activities/committees.

Chris understands that Menomonee Falls has wonderful teachers and schools and that an excellent education is essential for our children’s future. She is committed to offering a fresh perspective while being a voice for the community on the school board.

Sarah and her husband moved to Menomonee Falls from Green Bay nine years ago. They are proud to call Menomonee Falls home and have been engaged in the community as they raise their four children, two of which since graduated from Menomonee Falls. Her term expires in April 2026.

Before moving to Menomonee Falls, Sarah worked at Life Skills International. With offices in more than 20 states & having helped over 200,000 people, the program supports the development of key character traits that establish healthy foundations for living. As a leader in the organization, it required her to wear many hats, from day-to-day business operations to strategic growth and business development. She is certified in the organization and facilitated multiple concurrent classes, leading each group through the 6-month course. There, she learned a lot about human behavior and psychology and looks forward to the opportunity to use those skills to serve the young people in our community.

Years ago, she made the decision to walk away from the workforce to be at home with her children. This has given her the opportunity to lead numerous Mothers of Preschooler’s groups, actively volunteer at her children’s schools, and at church leading women’s bible studies.

As she believes children are our most valuable investment – being our future, our legacy, and our community - she knows that by investing in their education & providing a solid foundation, we will reap the benefits for generations to come. She is excited to see what can be achieved working with the district staff to serve and prepare our students.

Board Member Langer's term expires in April 2027.

Board Member Langer grew up in Menomonee Falls, attended Ben Franklin Elementary, North Middle School, and is a 1998 graduate of MFHS. After graduation, Travis enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. In 2003, Travis was deployed to Iraq as an infantryman during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon returning home from Iraq, Travis earned a degree in Automotive Technologies from Universal Technical Institute. Most recently, Travis started his own business based here in Menomonee Falls, Langers Auto Spa, serving Menomonee Falls and the Greater Metro Area.

Travis is married to Jenny (MFHS 2002), and they have two children both attending Menomonee Falls High School. In their free time, they enjoy going out on their boat, hiking, taking their Golden Doodle, Vinny to the dog park, and going out to eat.

Travis has volunteered his time with the Menomonee Falls Little League, Menomonee Falls Youth Wrestling Club, and is a member of the Menomonee Falls American Legion. He’s passionate about helping others, and is excited to serve on the School Board.
