If you are under the age of 16, you'll also need a work permit.

The Department of Workforce Development's Equal Rights Division will transition to a new online work permit application tool which is available to the parents of minors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any computer, tablet, smartphone, or similar device. Please access the site using these instructions. Payment is made directly to the department through the application, using a credit or debit card, or by ACH direct withdrawal. Once the permit application process is complete, the Department mails a paper copy of the permit directly to the employer.

In addition, The Department of Workforce Development has reorganized its employment of minors web pages, which include information such as the guide to hazardous and prohibited work, the hours and times of day restrictions for minors, and links to the appropriate statutes and codes.

Course Proposal

We are always looking for new and exciting programs and classes to add to our catalog. Complete a course proposal form and submit it to cerd@sdmfschools.org and a supervisor will reach out to discuss your proposal. Please note: proposals are considered in conjunction with the development of our seasonal brochures. For Summer courses (June-August) please contact us prior to February 1st, for Fall courses (September-December) prior to June 1st, and for Winter courses (January-May) prior to October 1st.
