Plein Air Painting

Saturday, July 27 from 12:30-4:30 pm @ Old Falls Village

Plein Air Painting has been around thoughout history and takes into consideration working with a subject and the elements; capturing the feeling in that moment. This is a great opportunity for you to experience this timeless connection to nature. Join me in the park for a day of creating. Whether you are an oilest, watercolor artist, or enjoy doing nature journals in pen and ink, we will spend the day exploring painting on site and seeing grand vistas or the intimacy of an individual flower. We will begin with instruction on how to paint on site, and move into your own painting medium and image choice. We will conclude with a create and sharing of work.

  • 12:30 pm - Orientation
  • 1:15 pm - Begin individual painting
  • 3:45 pm - Regroup for Create.
  • 4:30 pm- End of event. Stay after and share a refreshment and snack at the Old Falls Village Beer Garden!

Supplies will be based on individual medium and a list of supplies of general use will be available at the CE & Rec Office.
