Student Support Services
Our Falls Schools believe that excellence is pursued one student at a time. This is inclusive of all the students in our District. Included in our student population are students with disabilities, English language learners, students with unique health needs, and students who need emotional support in order to access their learning.
The Department of Pupil Services’ role is to ensure that students have access to curriculum and that they make progress as individually defined. When students are experiencing barriers to learning, teams work together to remove the barriers so that students can experience growth. In addition to teachers, teams may include staff from the pupil service department, to include school psychologists, school social workers and/or school counselors.
Anyone believing that a child has a disability can make a referral either through the child’s school or through the Pupil Service Department. The District serves students with disabilities from the ages of 3 through 21. For additional information about special education, please access DPI Families Rights. and view our Annual Notices.
