AVID

AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. It's a program that supports students that are incredibly bright but typically struggle in the classroom.

Geared toward students that are first-generation college bound, AVID prepares students to be successful in the classroom and beyond.

Students can start with AVID as early as middle school, but if you're interested in involving your student in AVID at MFHS, please contact coordinator Angie Schumacher at schuang@sdmfschools.org.
