MESSAGE FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF SENIORS! Grad Grams still available! If you still need to purchase Grad Grams or would like to drop off your completed Grams, a Booster Club volunteer will be in the high school lobby area between 5-6 PM on Monday, May 10. Grad Grams can be purchased with cash, check (payable to MFHS Booster Club), or Venmo @MFHS-BoosterClub. Pricing: $1.00 each; 10 for $5.00; 25 for $10.00. Completed Grad Grams are due back by May 25 to allow time for booklet assembly. Please return to the locked metal drop box outside the high school,or to Kristin or Heather's house (each have a plastic bin on the front porch). A CLUB FOR ALL STUDENTS! MFHS ARI: Awareness of Racial Inequality invites all students to their meetings. The goal of the group is to create more racial awareness within the MFHS community. Join through Schoology code: TK4T-SWK8-XFVPV. Meetings are held in the auditorium at 2:15 every other Wednesday or join virtually using the google meet code: ARI. Next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 12.

HAPPENING TODAY:

GSA MEETINGS! GSA will be meeting Monday, May 10 after school in room 207. Google Meet code is mfshgsa. Monday, May 24 will be the GSA end of the year party. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.

VIRTUAL EMPTY BOWLS: The MFHS National Art Honor Society will be hosting a VIRTUAL Empty Bowls fundraiser for the Menomonee Falls Food Pantry. Please visit our fundraising site now through Monday, May 10 by clicking here and make your online $10 or more donation. 100% of the money raised is donated to the Menomonee Falls Food Pantry. If you would still like to have a ceramic bowl, as in years past, please come on Saturday, May 15 from 9-11:30 AM to the MFHS tennis court parking lot to pick up your bowl. STUDENT ATHLETES: Do you want to compete in college sports? Join the NCAA Eligibility Center for their spring webinar for college-bound student-athletes and your families on Thursday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern (5:30 Central Time). This webinar will teach you about the initial-eligibility requirements you must meet in order to study and play sports at an NCAA Division I or II school. DANCE TEAM TRYOUTS FOR NEXT YEAR! MFHS Varsity Dance team tryouts for the 2021-2022 school year will be held Saturday, May 15 from 7:30 AM to 1 PM in the high school main gym! Open to those in grades 9-12 NEXT YEAR. Click here to sign up for more information.

FALL 2021 FOOTBALL INFORMATIONAL MEETING. There will be an informational parents and players meeting for J/V and Varsity football on Tuesday May 18 at 7:30 PM on the turf football field. Coaches will be handing out and going over info regarding the upcoming season.

SAVE THE DATE: There will be a Chipotle fundraiser for the girls’ swim & dive team on Wednesday, May 19 from 4-8 pm. The 2021 yearbook will represent the entire school year including graduation and will be distributed sometime in August.

CHEER TEAM TRYOUTS FOR NEXT YEAR! MFHS Cheer team tryouts for the 2021-2022 school year will be held Saturday, May 22. Email the coaches at mfhscheercoaches@gmail.com to get the details.

MATH HELP! The Math Resource Room is open every school day to support you whether you are in school or at home. Ms. Gupta is there every day and the following teachers are also there as follows: Hr 3 Beisbier; Hr 4 Siebert; Hr 8 Howard. For in person students, go to Room 262. WRITING CENTER SEMESTER 2 HOURS: The Writing Center is available both in-person and virtually this year. Drop in to the LMC or to the Google Meet (Nickname: Writingcenter) for help with any and all writing projects. The Writing Center is open Monday-Friday, 5th-8th period, including all lunches. SUMMER JOBS: The CE&Rec Department is looking for summer Youth Sports Staff for the junior soccer program on Wednesday nights at North Middle School from 5:15-8 pm, June 9-July 28 (August 4 rain date). Staff provides setup and take down of practice and game equipment, assistance to coaches and referees two games per evening for ages 4-8. A soccer background is preferred but they will train the right individual. Summer staff will have priority for fall football and basketball hours as well as the opportunity for other CE&Rec positions. PUBLIC LIBRARY LEARNING SERVICE: The Menomonee Falls Public Library offers a new learning service that provides extra assistance to students and caregivers this school year. HelpNow, by Brainfuse, is a free, online tutoring and study tool available to anyone with a library card. It offers live online tutoring, a writing lab, test preparation, online meeting spaces, curated lessons and tutorials, customizable teaching tools, and more. This free, online service is intended to supplement and assist students and caregivers, particularly after school hours.
