Hours: 32-38 Hours per Week; Mondays - Fridays between the hours of 6:15 AM to 6:15 PM.

Qualifications: Experience working with elementary school age children. We will train and pay for your CPR, First Aid and AED training.

Description: Albert & Ann Deshur JCC Rainbow Day Camp is currently hiring energetic, passionate, and hard-working individuals as Summer Camp Counselors for our inclusive summer day camp located in Fredonia, Wisconsin, that offers daily transportation to camp from bus stops in Whitefish Bay, Mequon, and Grafton. Guided by Jewish values, our camp fosters personal development, friendship and community for the children and teens in our care.

Interested in turning your summer at camp into a paid internship? Many possibilities exist based on your course of study. Working at camp is not only fun but is also a resume builder, especially for those pursuing careers in general education, special education, social work, or recreation. As an added bonus, all seasonal staff are eligible for uniquely JCC benefits like summer membership to our state-of-the-art fitness and aquatics facilities in Whitefish Bay and the Hy & Richard Smith JCC Water Park in Mequon.

Group Counselors must be at least 17+-years-old to work with the kids. They have prior experience and are interested in making your child’s summer wonderful! For teens entering 10th-12th grades: Our CIT program is open to 15-17-year-olds who are interested in a fun and rewarding summer job. The program will bring together high school students from different communities within Milwaukee. The program offers leadership and job training while giving the students a fun and rewarding summer. All CITs will be compensated for their time. Application is required and limited spots are available.

Shiluv Counselors are the support system for many of our campers who have special needs. These counselors are at least 18-years-old and have been hired specifically because of their interest and experience with special needs kids.

Our Waterfront Staff are at least 16-years-old and hold current lifeguard certifications. They must demonstrate their skills and are always learning new things to help them improve as lifeguards.
