Principal Update

Gooooooood Morning, North Stars!!

Let’s learn all we can Monday through Thursday because there is no school on Friday!

Please help Mrs. Fuiten and all of us congratulate Wilson Kershner, Nathan Taylor and Brady Posnanski for being first place winners in our Commit 2B Fit Class - NitroBall tournament. Congratulations also goes out to the following team members (Ariana Melms, Sam Strangfeld, and Evelyn Thompson ) for being voted the team with the best sportsmanship throughout the tourney!!!! Congrats to all six students for a job well done!!! You are North Stars!

Congratulations to our orchestras! They had a great concert last night at the high school! Strings Fest was a success! I heard that it was one of the best concerts one of the parents had ever listened to! Thank you to all our orchestra students and our awesome director, Mrs. Tan!

TODAY is the day for the WASHINGTON DC TRIP! The 8th graders going on the trip need to review their schedules and make sure you show up at the right time later tonight for your departure times! Have a great trip, be respectful and make North Middle School proud!

Thank you to our guest teachers, Mr. Ferch, Mrs. Pandya and Mrs. Vasholz, who have chosen to share their day with us today. We appreciate you being here!

7th and 8th grade Art Club will make their bowls for Empty Bowls week on Thursday from 2:40 - 3:40p.m. in Room 217. These bowls will benefit the Menomonee Falls Food Pantry. See you there!

Athletics

North Middle School Dance Team Fundraiser! Going on now at Buffalo Wild Wings in Germantown until the end of November! That’s plenty of time for all of us to get there! You don’t need a flyer, just tell your server or take out host that you are participating in the fundraiser for “TEAM N” - North Middle School! It’s good for dine in or carry out!!

The 8th Grade Girls Basketball team collected their 3rd win of the season last night, defeating Longfellow 49-22. The girls were led by outstanding defense by DeeDee D’Antonio, Angelina Anagnostopoulos, and Eliana Brofsky, and on offense by Ebony Austin & Nikki Radloff with 6 points, Ella Bill with 8 points and Taylor Maas who scored an amazing TWENTY points! The girls return home to face Templeton tonight, good luck girls!

UPDATE: Parent/Teacher Conference Sign Up will be sent home via School Messenger on Wednesday, October 16th at 12:00pm. We are using SignUp Genius and there will be directions both in the email and on the North website. You have until November 5th to sign up.

October 22nd is a burritoful day to eat at Chipotle and support North’s AWESOME PTSO! All DINE IN ONLY purchases will count if you come in and eat between 4:00 - 8:00pm. You MUST show the Chipotle/North flyer either in hard copy or on your phone. Click here for the flyer. The PTSO does so many amazing things for the staff and students here at North, let’s return the favor and go eat at Chipotle! See you there next Tuesday, October 22nd!

Teen Center: Are you looking for something to do Friday night, October 18?? Grab your friends and join us for a scary-good haunted house trip. We will be going to The Haunt in Cedarburg (click here for the flyer.) We will leave the teen center at 6:15 pm and return around 9/9:30 pm. Cost is $30 for residents and $35 for non residents. Register at fallsrec.org by Wednesday, October 16. Costumes are encouraged. The teen center will be closed on Oct. 18 because of the trip. But they are open TONIGHT if you are looking for something fun to do!

Community Feedback | October 16 @ MFHS, 6:30 p.m.

The Board of Education for the School District of Menomonee Falls would like residents to share their feedback regarding the high school mascot at a community feedback session on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at 6:30p.m. at the Menomonee Falls High School auditorium. You may also share your thoughts with the school board at any of the upcoming school board meetings, which are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Village Hall Board Room. Residents may also share their feedback before October 31, 2019. by emailing the board at board@sdmfschools.org, or by completing a feedback form available on the school district website.

37th Annual “A Community Affair” will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 9:00am - 3:00pm. Presented by Community League of Menomonee Falls, this Arts/Crafts/Antiques juried show donates all proceeds to charity! In addition to the arts and crafts, they also have raffles and a cafe. The show is located at Menomonee Falls High School and admission is only $4.00. The show is stroller and handicap accessible. Any questions?
