Our Falls Schools have a rich history in our community and that history is steeped in academic, athletic and organizational success that has made us one of the highest-performing schools in the state.
Our schools are celebrated for rigorous coursework, college & career readiness, culture-building programs and positive behavior interventions. Our work on continuous improvement has garnered attention from Guam to Sweden and allows us to showcase improvement process work done by our staff and students.

Our superintendent was named the 2018 Superintendent of the year by the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators.
Our Director of Facilities Rick Fechter was awarded the 2018 Facility Manager of the year by the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials.
Backgroundchecks.org has named us one of the top 25 schools in the state of Wisconsin!
Riverside Elementary Principal Scott Walter was honored with the 2018 Elementary School Principal of the Year by the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators.
Chamber of Commerce.org named the Village of Menomonee Falls #8 on the 2019 list of Best Cities to Live in Wisconsin.
We are a Carnegie Spotlight district. It means that we're recognized for our organizational strides and are slated for a case study in the work we've done.
We are a Studer Fire Starter school, which means we've been recognized for being on the ground floor of exceptional CI work in school districts.

Fiscal
We have a good bond rating. Our district has a high-grade, long- term bond rating of Aa2 from Moody’s which means we're a reliable investment for borrowing purposes.
We have a healthy fund balance. Our district fund balance sits at 24.3%. We've done a lot of hard work to make sure we have a healthy fund balance. Industry standard is 25%.
We are energy efficient. Our district has saved more than $7 million through energy cost avoidance by finding energy efficiencies across our buildings. We have one of the best facilities team around!
Our municipality's tax rate is one of the lowest in the state. Per the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance, our District + Municipality tax rate is in the bottom 14% of all cities & villages. We're ranked 515 out of 596. This year's school tax mill rate is $11.25
Positive Indicators
Did you know attendance is directly tied to student achievement? Attendance is important & our students know it! A total of 96% of students are at school every day.
Since 2010 suspensions across the district have decreased 56% due to our work with positive behavioral programs. A decrease in suspensions means that more students are spending time in the classroom learning.

Middle
North Middle School is accredited through Advanced ED. It means we've done a great job with continuous improvement in the classroom in driving quality.
North Middle School has been named a PBIS School of Distinction for Behavior. This means that we're recognized for our positive, culture-building initiatives that encourage students to be kind and respectful!
High
This year MFHS students broke another record with 130 AP Scholars and 14 National AP Scholars.
All of our students take the ACT before graduation. With 100% participation, our average ACT score is points higher than the state average of 20.5 and the national average of 21.
U.S. News & World Report has named MFHS a Silver-rank high school for 2017. It means that we're nationally recognized for our achievement and course rigor!
Our students are making plans post-graduation. 96% of our MFHS graduates go on to a 4-year, 2-year or technical college, the military, workforce and apprenticeships.

Our North Middle School cheer team took first in the 5th-9th grade division at the WACPC middle school championships in 2017!
Double-swish! Both our 7th & 8th grade basketball teams went completely undefeated all year last year!
Now that's something to be proud of!

MFHS recently had two state titles in baseball a state champion in girls swim and state berths in tennis, cross country, volleyball, swim & dive, golf and soccer.
We've been a 4-time recipient in the last three years of the WIAA's sportsmanship award. Read more here.
