It's important to know that library materials are selected throughout the school year to provide a current and balanced collection of books, basic reference materials, periodicals, digital and audiovisual materials that support the School District's programs and the leisure interests of students. These library materials cover a wide range of interests on all levels of difficulty, with a diversity of appeal and presentation of different points of view. The School District of Menomonee Falls has the technology and procedures in place to ensure that students do not have access to resources that are not appropriate for their age. Selection of library materials includes using reputable, professionally prepared reviews, such as the School Library Journal. Policy 361 and its procedure are in place to manage challenges to books and resources.

School Closing/Weather

Closing or delaying school because of inclement weather involves several factors: weather conditions that are both current and predicted to occur during the course of the coming day, road conditions and closures, and the ability of the schools to prepare for students to arrive.

When schools are closed, all athletic events and practices are also canceled.

In the event of a school closing or delay, all School District of Menomonee Falls families will be notified using the following resources:

The School District of Menomonee Falls uses a service called School Messenger to send automated phone calls, text messages and emails to parents and guardians about school-related safety, weather-related closings, reminders and absences.

If you are the parent or guardian of a Falls Schools student, please make sure your contact information is up to date in Skyward.

Please know the safety of our students and your family is our first priority. We will always make decisions out of caution and, at the same time, communicate with you early and often.

If the school district decides to remain open, but as a parent or guardian, you feel the weather conditions are not safe, your child will be excused as long as you notify your child's school.

FAQs

What are the fees for the school year?

The school board has not voted on school fees for the 2023-2024 school year.

The School District of Menomonee Falls now provides parents with an easy and secure way to make online student fee payments. Parents may pay with a debit or credit card or with ECheck for all their school fees - including optional fees like yearbook, parking, music rental and more.

1. Click here: PowerSchool Parent Portal or visit fallsschools.org/parents

2. Enter your PowerSchool username and password - if you do not have a username and password, click CREATE ACCOUNT and follow the steps to create a new account.

3. Under Navigation on the left-hand side click BALANCE (locate the gold coin icon next to - Balance)

4. Click on the top right green button MAKE A PAYMENT

5. Select the fees you would like to pay by clicking ADD TO CART

Click CONTINUE SHOPPING (located bottom left) to add additional fees
Click SHOP located at the top of the screen to add additional fees (Example: parking, fundraisers, etc.)

6. When your shopping cart is completed and you are ready to process payment, click on CHECKOUT (located bottom right)

You will be asked to log in or create a REVTRAK account. This is to ensure your payment information is secure. Please note if you have paid fees online before, you should already have a REVTRAK account created. If you do not have a REVTRAK account, please click CREATE NEW ACCOUNT and follow the steps on creating a new account. Once your REVTRAK credentials are imported, REVTRAK & PowerSchool parent login credentials are linked for a single sign-in process moving forward.

The Versatrans E-link system is secure and password protected, with authorized users having access only to data relevant to their student’s status.

E-link provides parents/guardians access to information quickly over the web whenever needed. New families can find out whether their child(ren) should walk or ride, the location of bus stops, and pickup and drop-off times. Better access to information to serve students and parents.

Please note: Bus Route Letters will NOT be mailed home. If you do not have access to a computer please contact your school office or log on at your child’s registration event.

Step 1: Enter your home phone number (without dashes, we had a software update) for your User ID and Password (example: 2622554444)

Step 2: Click on “Work with Students”

Step 3: Click on “View My Students” (and you will see your student(s)). After logging the 1st time you will be prompted to change your password. (Optional)

Step 4: To PRINT, click on the “Display PDF” (in the upper left hand corner and print).

The School District of Menomonee Falls recognizes the connection between a student's health, well-being, and ability to learn, which is why we are continuously committed to offering resources to support students and families at all times.

The SDMF Student Services team, which includes school counselors, school psychologists and school social workers developed the SDMF Mental Wellness & Resources web page to provide our school community with important information and resources to help navigate and support the mental wellness of our students and families.
